YAWEZA AFRICAN SAFARI FESTIVAL

Dates: 26th Sept 2025 – 28th Sept 2025

The Yaweza Swahili Safari Festival brings together global audiences to experience the beauty, art, and spirit of the Swahili culture. We are thrilled to announce a major event taking place in Athens, Greece. During this time we will be a celebration of African heritage, music, dance, fashion, and Kenya’s tourism.

Our Mission …

Our mission is to bridge cultural divides, promote sustainable tourism, and provide opportunities for youth empowerment and economic development.

Culture and Tradition

We believe that culture is the soul of every community.

Through the Yaweza African Safari Festivals, we provide an immersive experience into the traditions of East Africa. From traditional Swahili cuisine, music, dance, and fashion, our festivals bring Africa closer to the global stage.

Our aim is to highlight the beauty and significance of Swahili culture, not only for those with African roots but also for anyone who appreciates the richness of human diversity.

Tourism

Tourism is a powerful engine for economic growth, cultural exchange, and environmental conservation.

In collaboration with tourism entities in Kenya and Tanzania, we bring the best of Kenyan tourism to the world through our festivals. From the Masai Mara’s world-famous wildlife to the pristine beaches of the Kenyan coast, our events spotlight the incredible destinations and experiences Kenya has to offer.

We believe in sustainable tourism that benefits local communities and preserves the natural beauty of our planet. That’s why each festival includes opportunities to learn about eco-friendly travel options, wildlife conservation, and ways to give back to local communities.

Youth Empowerment

Young people are the future, and we are committed to giving them the tools they need to succeed. Through the Yaweza African Safari Festivals, we provide platforms for young entrepreneurs, artists, and cultural advocates to showcase their talents.

We offer workshops on entrepreneurship, digital skills, and social media, empowering youth to become the next generation of cultural ambassadors.

By supporting youth, we are not only safeguarding the future of Swahili culture but also driving innovation and progress in tourism and beyond.
